Hamilton, Missouri has become a quilter’s paradise!  Some might even call it the “Disneyland of Quilting.  More than a dozen beautiful shops line the main street and there is always something new to find as this little town comes back to life.  Join TURNER for a meet and greet along with a trunk show hosted by Jenny Doan.  This is a tour you will not want to miss and will sell out quickly.

Daily Itinerary:
Day 1 Depart Terre Haute making our way to Rochester, Illinois for a stop at Peace and Applique Quilt Shop, a family run shop on Main Street.  Home to over 7,000 bolts of fabric, lots of books, patterns, and notions.  Each of the four rooms will inspire you every step of the way!  Continue onto Chillicothe, Missouri, our home for two nights.
Day 2 After continental breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to Hamilton, Missouri to spend the entire day and attend the Jenny Doan Trunk Show.  A prominent quilter and founder of Missouri Star Quilting Company, she turned a hobby into a multi-million dollar business.  Due to her over 300 YouTube video tutorials that have been viewed more than 50 million times, Jenny has been called “The most famous quilter in the world.”  This trunk show is two fantastic hours of fun!  You will laugh along with her humorous stories and you might even shed a few tears.  Get ready to hear the story of why she started quilting, how Missouri Star Quilting Company came to be, and the impact that this incredible phenomenon has had in her life!  At this special signing, you will learn quick and easy quilting first-hand from Jenny, along with some techniques to make twenty of Jenny’s favorite quilts.  She will show you how precut fabric helps you make beautiful quilts come together almost like magic!  Enjoy a meet and greet with Jenny.  The rest of the day will be spent shopping and browsing the main street of Hamilton, stores include: Missouri Star Quilting Company - Started in November 2008 in their hometown.  Today they employ over 150 people and have brought this town back to life. • The Main Shop - The heart of the Missouri Star Quilting Company!  Something for everyone! • Mercantile - Shop for 1930’s and Civil War reproduction fabric. • Sew Seasonal - Always something to celebrate as you find fabric for any season. • Batik Boutique - You can almost feel the ocean breeze … an island getaway! • The Machine Shed - Listen to the gentle rumble of brand new sewing machines.  Take a Baby Lock machine for a test drive and pick up notions. • Licensed to Sew - Carries fabric for all your unique interests.  Have a favorite sports team, cartoon character, or movie?  You will find it here! • Penney’s Quilt Shop - Colorful solids as far as the eye can see!  Named after the J.C. Penney Store it once housed, this is your #1 stop for basics of all textures and hues. • Kids and Baby - Stay and play in this themed store!  It’s brimming with darling prints and cheerful coordinates for the little ones in your life. • Modern - See what is new and fresh in the world of quilting.  Browse through the latest designer fabrics. • Backing and Trims - Perfect finishing touch!  Select the ideal fabric for the back of your quilt and grab the tools you will need to finish it up! • Primitives and Wool - Homespun goods and timeless fabrics are just right for your quilt projects. • Florals - Stroll through lush gardens of beautiful floral prints.  It’s springtime all year long!  Travel back to Chillicothe for the night.
Day 3 Following continental breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to Hannibal, Missouri to explore the wide variety of local specialty shops (Including Bits and Pieces Vintage Sewing Notions and Hickory Stick Quilt Shop, galleries, and antique stores). • Bits and Pieces Vintage Sewing Notions - Quilting, sewing, fabric, lace, buttons, and vintage sewing machines. • Hickory Stick Quilt Shop - In business 32 years selling the highest quality quilting fabrics and supplies.  Depart for home arriving home mid-evening.
