Daily Itinerary:
Day 1 Travel to Memphis, Tennessee with our first stop being Sun Studio.  The recording studio opened by rock 'n' roll pioneer Sam Phillips in 1950. Sam Phillips genius touched more than Elvis ... there was Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, plus so many more.  Next, we check into our hotel for two nights, The Guest House at Graceland Resort.  When Elvis Aaron Presley first set eyes on Graceland, he didn’t just see a house, he saw the beginnings of a dream.  For untold millions of fans who cherish Elvis, that dream has become a destination.  Now, a new part of the dream has come to life - a place that brings you closer to Graceland than ever before.  The Guest House at Graceland welcomes you.  Located on beautifully landscaped property, just a few steps from the gates of Graceland, this unique accommodation is inspired by the warm hospitality that Elvis always showed his guests.  Every aspect of The Guest House reflects Elvis' personal style and the unique character of Graceland.  The Guest House at Graceland celebrates Elvis Presley and his legacy.  Dinner at a local favorite.
Day 2 Our morning and early afternoon will be spent at Graceland, “The Home of Elvis Presley.  Walk in the footsteps of the King of Rock 'n' Roll at Elvis' home, Graceland.  The full Graceland experience will take you from Elvis' humble beginnings through his rise to superstardom.  See how a rock 'n' roll legend lived and relaxed with family and friends.  The Graceland experience includes an interactive iPad tour of Graceland mansion, plus a self-guided tour through the new entertainment complex, Elvis Presley's Memphis!  The complex houses Elvis: The Entertainer Career Museum, which is the largest and most comprehensive Elvis museum in the world, and Presley Motors, the new automobile museum.  While you're there, check out Discovery Exhibits that cover everything from Elvis' service in the U.S. Army, to his style, to artists who were influenced by him.  See his two custom airplanes and so much more.  Our next stop is St. Jude Pavilion.  The architecturally unique building contains more memorabilia of the late entertainer Danny Thomas, founder of St. Jude, who dreamed that “no child should die in the dawn of life.”  The pavilion is home to Emmy Awards and accolades for Thomas’s television show Make Room for Daddy, as well as other lifetime achievements.  More importantly, see his Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian award given by congress.  Our late afternoon will be spent touring the Gibson Guitar Factory.  When a small company named Gibson started crafting mandolins in 1894, it probably had no idea the impact it would make on the world.  Today, Gibson is the foremost maker of electric guitars and is known for their famed Les Paul and Chet Atkin models, and of course, B.B. King's Lucille becoming the guitar of choice for artists like Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, Peter Frampton, John Lennon, and George Harrison.  Dinner and free time to explore Beale Street where live music spills from each club. Smoky barbecue wafts on the breeze.  History hangs in the air.   From the moment your foot touches the cobblestones, you realize you've officially entered a music mecca unlike any other.  It is the most visited attraction in the State of Tennessee. Beale Street is alive with blues, jazz, rock 'n' roll, R&B, soul, and gospel.  No other local landmark has held such mystique, intrigue, fame, and infamy over the years.
Day 3 We start the day at The National Civil Rights Museum and Lorraine Hotel.  First opened in 1991 with a focus on education of the history of the American civil rights movement, the updated museum design now includes large-format exhibits, more film, and interactive media.  Crouch into the hull of a slave ship and try to imagine what humans endured as part of the slave trade in the late 1700s.  Hear first-person accounts about life under Jim Crow laws.  Step aboard a vintage bus and hear the altercation between a public transit system worker in Montgomery and Rosa Parks.  Time to say goodbye to Memphis and start our journey home with lunch and rest stops along the way.
