RHYTHM, RIVERS, AND BBQ All Departures

Departing: Saturday, September 29, 2018
2 Days
Two of our forever favorites combined into one wonderful weekend getaway ... BBQ on the River and Land Between the Lakes.

HIGHLIGHT CITY:  Paducah, KY • Grand Rivers, KY

FEATURES:  BBQ on the River - The smell of chicken and pork will hover over two and half blocks of camps in historic downtown Paducah, Kentucky.  More than 80,000 pounds of meat will be grilled, smoked, cooked, eaten and nearly $400,000 raised for local charities.  Teams from all over the region will compete for the prestige of being named Grand Champion.  Along with the smell of smoked chicken and pork, the music befits the scene as hot blues, bluegrass, jazz, and classic rock fill the air.  It’s like coming home to a big family reunion, no matter where you are from! • Choice of the National Quilt Museum or River Discovery Center (You must pre-select the tour option you want at time of reservation.)  National Quilt Museum - Houses three galleries featuring exhibits of the finest quilt and fiber art in the world. The museum’s vibrant and breathtaking exhibits are rotated eight to ten times per year and showcase a collection that includes over 500 works of art. • River Discovery Center - Overlooking the confluence of the Ohio and Tennessee River in Paducah’s oldest structure. Celebrate the maritime legacy and lore with interactive water filled exhibits, take your turn in the wheelhouse, and so much more.  • Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park - Located on the northern shore of Kentucky Lake.  Enjoy time to explore the park, watch the boats, and stroll along the shoreline.  Kentucky Lake is one of the world’s largest man-made lakes and is 184 miles in length with 2,064 miles of shoreline and 160,000 acres of water.  A relaxing evening and morning as we spend the night at the resort. • Badgett Playhouse - Variety! Music, Memories, and More - A family-style music show. (Exact show to be determined closer to tour time.) • Patti’s 1880’s Settlement - Open since 1977, offering a fine southern lunch with delectable desserts. • Shopping time in the Patti’s gift stores and the unique shops of Grand Rivers.
