Day 1 | Board a TURNER motorcoach early in the morning for our transfer to Indianapolis International Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, you are responsible for your baggage check in and fees (approximately $25 a bag). Fly to Newark International Airport where we will be met by a local motorcoach to start our tour. We will travel to Liberty Island State Park and board a ferry to Liberty Island “Statue of Liberty” National Monument. This will be an outside viewing only with a chance to stroll the grounds and visit the gift shop. We will reboard a ferry and travel to Ellis Island National Monument. Explore the museum. Reboard the ferry one last time arriving in Battery Park, located on the tip of Manhattan. This afternoon you have the choice of admission to the 9/11 Memorial Museum or One World Observatory at Freedom Tower. (You must pre-select your tour option at time of reservation.) • 9/11 Memorial Museum - The historical exhibition has three parts: the Before 9/11, Day of 9/11, and After 9/11. It tells the story of what happened on 9/11, including the events at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and the story of Flight 93. The exhibition explores the background leading up to the events and examines their aftermath and continuing implications. • One World Observatory at Freedom Tower - On the 100th floor, take your time exploring expansive, panoramic views in every direction. Discover Manhattan, Brooklyn, New Jersey, and the surrounding waters from an entirely new perspective. Take a break from looking out and look down. Stand over this clear, 14 foot glass disc and see what is happening on the city streets 100 stories below. Continue aboard our motorcoach to Times Square and our home for three nights, The Novotel. Located at 226 West 52nd Street, this four-star hotel is situated right in the center of the excitement of the “Big Apple.” Tonight, we will walk a few short blocks to a small bistro for a “welcome to New York City” dinner. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy. |

Day 2 | We start our day by walking towards Rockefeller Center. Our first stop is St. Patrick’s Cathedral for a visit inside to see the beautiful stained glass windows. Next, is a “backstage tour” of the Radio City Music Hall where we will learn about this historical famous music hall and meet a Rockette for pictures. (A one hour walking tour with multiple levels of stairs.) Our last tour of the day is Top of the Rock for amazing views of Manhattan, including the best views of Central Park and the Empire State Building. We will complete our touring early afternoon and you are on your own the rest of the day and evening. Dinner will be at your leisure at a place of your choice with included meal money. (No motorcoach transportation will be provided today.) |

Day 4 | Today you have two options as to how to spend your last day in New York City. You may choose to explore until 3:30 pm on your own or you may join us on our local motorcoach for a trip to Brooklyn and Coney Island. (You do not need to decide on how you want to spend the day until Sunday.) Coney Island is well known for its amusement rides, the original Nathan’s Hot Dogs, boardwalk, and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Our driving tour of Brooklyn takes us through the neighborhoods to learn about the ethnic diversity and what makes the boroughs home. Return to New York City to reunite the two groups and depart for Newark International Airport. Upon arrival at the airport, you are responsible for your baggage check in and fees (approximately $25 a bag). Dinner will be at the airport with included meal money. Fly to Indianapolis International Airport. Motorcoach to Terre Haute.
Broadway Shows:
Because of the multiple options and price ranges available, we chose not to include a Broadway musical. Your option of times will be Saturday evening, Sunday Matinee, and Sunday evening. If you would like to pre-arrange your Broadway musical, please visit broadway.com or broadwaybox.com or you may wait until the day of production and take a chance at the ticket booth in Times Square for discounted tickets. |
