Day 2 | Today, enjoy a guided hike in the Smoky Mountains. Our local guide will take us on trails in the park and share an array of history, stories, and legends about the area and the people that inhabited it before the park was formed. Along the way see spectacular overlooks and views, and maybe even some wildlife. (This time hiking will include moderate hikes and is not considered strenuous, BUT you should be in good physical condition and walk distances on a regular basis.) Dinner will be at the Hard Rock Cafe in Pigeon Forge. This evening you will have the choice of admission to the Titanic Museum Attraction or reserved seats to the Country Tonite Theater Show. (You must pre-select your tour option at time of reservation.) • Titanic Museum Attraction - Experience what it was like to walk the hallways, parlors, cabins, and Grand Staircase of the Titanic while surrounded by more than 400 artifacts directly from the ship and its passengers. • Country Tonite Theater Show - In this fast-paced production, you will enjoy a variety of dynamic singing and dancing, side-splitting comedy, powerful gospel, and American patriotism. Country Tonite is the only show in Pigeon Forge with youth performers! |

Day 3 | This morning we will travel to Hartford, Tennessee to spend the day rafting on the Upper Pigeon River. The scenery surrounding the upper section of the Pigeon River is just as breathtaking as the rapids. Skirted by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cherokee National Forest, Martha Sundquist State Forest and the Appalachian Trail, the Pigeon has carved its rocky riverbed through some of the most dramatic country in East Tennessee. • Rafting on the Upper Pigeon River - The upper section of the Pigeon River boasts twelve Class III and three Class IV thrilling whitewater rapids! Accompanied by one of Rafting in the Smokies friendly, professional river guides, you’ll be escorted down five miles of lively rapids with equally engaging nicknames such as Too Late, Vegamatic, Razor Blade, After Shave, and Lost Guide. (No experience necessary. This trip is open to anyone eight years old or older and weigh at least 70 pounds. Life jackets/personal flotation devices (PFDs) and helmets are provided and required for all participants, MUST be able to fit in a 56″ PFD.) Expect big splashes and bumpy waves during this hour and a half trip (approximate time on the river) of spectacular whitewater adventure on the Upper Pigeon River! Enjoy dinner and an unforgettable evening of appalachian activities to celebrate the area and Dolly Parton, the Smoky Mountain Sweetheart. See demonstrations of games from Dolly’s childhood, storytelling, and photo sharing all capped off with a showing of the movie “Coat of Many Colors.” |
