See the room-sized miniature Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus. Learn about the famous artists, politicians, and sports figures who once called the area home. • Springmill State Park - Set against a backdrop of stately oaks and rolling scenic hills outside Mitchell, Indiana, Spring Mill State Park offers scenic vistas bustling with fall colors. Lunch at the Millstone Dining Room located in historic Spring Mill Inn will start our visit.  A walk around the Pioneer Village allows us to be immersed in history by taking a step back in time to the early 1860’s. Take a leisurely stroll through the historic district and view over 20 log cabin structures dating back to the early 1800’s. The showcase of the Pioneer Village is the Grist Mill. This limestone mill is an original structure that was built in 1817 and still grinds corn to this day. Water flowing out of Hamer Cave pours over the enormous water wheel and drives the gears that spin the grindstones.
