Long before Branson became known for its variety of shows, the Mabe Family assembled on the banks of Lake Taneycomo in downtown and played for visiting fishermen. Known as the first family of performers to create a Branson show, they abandoned their lakefront venue in the early 60’s to build a theater in Branson’s new area for entertainment, Highway 76. Generations of Mabes have always kept audiences in stitches with their comedy antics, currently the kingdom of Droopy Drawers, Jr., and tapping their feet to popular classic, and today’s country tunes. • Jesus at Sight and Sound Theater - Truly a unique experience.
