Travel to Newport, Kentucky and start with lunch at the Hofbrauhaus. This family themed German restaurant will offer entrée selections that fit all palates and ages. We will walk across the street to Newport on the Levee which is home to Newport Aquarium. Our afternoon will be spent at Newport Aquarium and start with a special entrance into the Penguin Classroom. Once we are seated our Penguin will make their appearance and meander the room as their trainers teach us all about Penguin life. Now, you are free to explore “A Million Gallons of Fun” at your own pace. Thousands of animals from around the world in a million gallons of water. Over 70 exhibits, 14 galleries, including five seamless acrylic tunnels, totaling over 200 feet in length. Home to the Rainforest, Gator Bayou, Amazon, Shark Central, Penguin Palooza, Jellyfish Gallery, Frog Bog, Dangerous and Deadly, Bizarre and Beautiful, Surrounded by Sharks, Coral Reef, and Turtle Town. New exhibits include Shipwreck, Realm of the Eels, or the incredible seamless tunnels of Surrounded by Sharks, plus a chance to touch sharks and stingrays and dare to cross the world’s first Shark Bridge.
