SUMMER FUN AT VIRGINIA BEACH
Departing: Saturday, August 14, 2021
6 Days
When the first signs of summer start peaking over the distant Atlantic horizon, most of us have only one thing on our mind - when can we get to the beach? The Virginia Beach Oceanfront is a hub of cool drinks, good food, live music, and everything you need to win the season this summer. The Oceanfront District is ripe with coastal flavors to explore. From fresh seafood to fresh-baked sweet treats, there’s no shortage of local favorites to dig into. For a laid-back, island vibe that will have your taste buds singing. We will spend three nights in the heart of it all on the Boardwalk with rooms overlooking the breathtaking Atlantic Ocean.

Daily Itinerary:
Day 1 Travel into Virginia for our overnight.
Day 2 Arrive in Virginia Beach early afternoon and meet our guide for a local tour to include Cape Henry Lighthouse and Fort Story Military Base (valid ID required) Dinner prior to checking into our hotel, our home for three nights.
Day 3 Our morning will be spent at the Military Aviation Museum, home to one of the largest private collections of World War I and Warld War II era military aircraft in the world. Each of the planes have been beautifully restored to its prior military condition, using original parts whenever possible. Most of the planes are airworthy and flown at the museum.  Some are the last flight-ready aircraft of their time, and all of them being one of a kind.  Return to the hotel for a free afternoon and evening.
Day 4 Free day and evening to enjoy at your leisure. With our hotel located on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, there are plenty of areas for you to explore. The boardwalk is a 28-feet wide marvel that stretches three miles from 2nd to 40th Street and features a separate bike path, ideal for strolling, rollerblading and biking. Entertainment is offered nightly during the summer months and four oceanfront stages at 7th, 17th, and 24th and 31st Streets provide live musical acts. Along the boardwalk, there’s a variety of quaint outdoor restaurants and vendors offering bike and surrey rentals. Nautical sculptures adorn many of the side streets which lead to Atlantic Avenue. While there, don't forget to swing by and see King Neptune – a twenty-four foot, twelve-ton bronze statue that stands at the gateway to Neptune Festival Park on 31st Street. This is perhaps one of the most popular photo opportunities in the resort area.
Day 5 Our morning starts with a Dolphin Watching Cruise. The 90-minute experience is narrated by experts who are ready to share their knowledge and answer your questions about dolphins, other marine life, and the Virginia Beach coastline. Lunch before we travel back to Western Virginia for our overnight.
Day 6 Continue our journey home arriving in the evening relaxed and with great memories of a fun time at the beach.
