Parker; an exhibit on the history of the building, Progress in a Small Frontier Town; and an excellent collection of 19th century woodworking tools. • Fort Smith National Historic Site - Walk where Mexican War and Civil War soldiers drilled, pause along the Trail of Tears, and stand where justice was served to some of the most vile outlaws of The Wild West. • Clayton House - Explore the antebellum home that Henry Clayton transformed into an Italianate-style mansion rich with austerity, as well as an immaculately preserved collection of 19th-century furnishings and original features like coal-burning fireplaces. • United States Marshals Museum - A unique exterior with a modified star-shaped design signifying the star badge worn by courageous U.S. Marshals. Inside, five immersive galleries to learn about the ever-evolving role the Marshals have played in upholding the Rule of Law, driven by justice, integrity and service. • Garvan Woodland Gardens - Located on 4.5 miles of wooded shoreline along Lake Hamilton, the gardens feature more than 128 species of ornamental and native shrubs and wild flowers, 160 different types of azaleas, a 4-acre Asian garden with a 12-foot waterfall, three unique bridges, the Perry Wildflower Overlook, and the sandstone and redwood Garvan Pavilion and Anthony Chapel. • The Gangster Museum of America - Discover over 100 years of history when Hot Springs was a hotbed of gambling and became a favorite hangout of some of the most notorious gangsters. Learn why it's considered the 'Birthplace of Spring Training' and even see John Dillinger's death mask. • Fordyce Bathhouse Museum and Hot Springs National Park Visitor Center - The Fordyce opened March 1, 1915 at a cost of over $212,000 to build, equip, and furnish. Totaling approximately 28,000 square feet, the Fordyce is the largest bathhouse on the Row. It has three main floors, two courtyards, and a basement under most of the building. The first bathhouse on the Row to go out of business when it suspended operations in 1962, but it was extensively restored by 1989 and is now enjoying a renaissance as a historically furnished museum. • DeGray Lake Resort State Park - Arkansas’s only resort state park. Set in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains and nestled along the north shore of 13,800-acre DeGray Lake, one of the region’s five Diamond Lakes known for their crystal clear waters. • Crater of Diamonds State Park - One of the only places in the world where the public can search for real diamonds in their original volcanic source. Search a 37-acre field, the eroded surface of a volcanic crater, for a variety of rocks, minerals, and gemstones – and anything you find is yours to keep. In the visitor’s center, you can view real, uncut diamonds and interact with exhibits illustrating the area's unique history and geology. • Lambert’s Café, “Home of the Throwed Roll.”
