ATTENTION: This tour has changes! We were to visit Cahokia Mounds but after publication date we were notified that they were closing their Visitors Center for renovations. We have replaced this stop with a morning at the St. Louis Zoo.

FEATURES: Gateway Arch - Ride a tram 630 feet to the top of iconic Gateway Arch, where we’ll find a 30-mile, awe-inspiring view of St. Louis including Busch Stadium and the Mississippi River. Understand the river’s role in turn of the century commerce, while viewing the bridges and train trestle that span the mighty Mississippi. • Museum of Westward Expansion - Explore the new interactive, interpretive spaces, each with a unique historical theme (Colonial St. Louis, Jefferson’s Vision, Manifest Destiny, Riverfront Era, New Frontiers and Building the Arch). • Riverfront and Gardens - Time to walk through the newly restored grounds of the Arch and sit on the steps overlooking the Mighty Mississippi River. • Gateway Arch River Cruise - See the Gateway Arch from a different point of view as you relive the days when steamboats ruled the river. Discover the mighty Mississippi’s important role in America’s past and the present-day on this one-hour cruise along St. Louis’s working downtown riverfront, narrated by the captain. • St. Louis Zoo - World class zoo with more than 6,600 animals including: elephants, cheetahs, hyenas, penguins, bears, great apes, primates, birds, reptiles, lions, tigers, goats, and butterflies wandering in flight. (Lunch will be on your own at the Zoo or you are welcome to bring a sack lunch to enjoy on the coach prior to arriving at the Arch.) (No meals included in this tour.)
