It was the private retreat of the King of Rock 'n Roll. It was where his family grew up, spent their time together and enjoyed life. Today, you're invited to explore Elvis Presley’s home, Graceland Mansion, and immerse yourself in his life and legacy at Elvis Presley's Memphis Entertainment Complex.  Our visit includes: Graceland Mansion Audio-Guided Tour, self-guided tour of Elvis' Custom Jets, Full Access to all-new Elvis Presley’s Memphis Entertainment Complex, which includes self-guided tours of: Presley Motors Automobile Museum, Elvis: The Entertainer Career Museum, New Making of ELVIS Movie Exhibition and Elvis Discovery Exhibits. From his early stardom in 1957 to his death in 1977, Elvis made Graceland his personal oasis, and all of his original touches remain. Snap a pic in front of Graceland’s gates, designed with help from Elvis himself. Then step into iconic spaces including the glam living room where Elvis gathered with family and friends and the swanky Jungle Room, which doubled as a makeshift recording studio. The tour ends at the Meditation Garden, where fans place tributes on Elvis’ grave.  •  Sun Studio - Tour the recording studio opened by rock ‘n’ roll pioneer Sam Phillips in 1950.  Sam Phillips genius touched more than Elvis … there was Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, plus so many more.  •  The Edge Motor Museum - Preservation over restoration! The cars can tell us something about the past, present, world, and ourselves. They are vehicles to history, and reflections of the eras in which they were designed, built, sold, and driven. This museum is not a personal collection of cars. Each automobile is selected based on its historical and cultural significance. • The Peabody Memphis Hotel Duck March - How did the tradition of the ducks in this iconic hotel begin? The Peabody’s story as one of the grandest, most historic hotels in downtown Memphis dates back to 1869 when the original Peabody Hotel opened on the corner of Main and Monroe, immediately becoming the social and business hub of Memphis.  In 1925 a newer, grander Peabody was built at its present location of Union and 2nd Street, continuing the legacy of the “South’s Grand Hotel.”  It was 1933 when ducks were first originally placed in the hotel’s lobby fountain, by two men (Frank Shutt, Hotel Manager) and a friend, (Chip Barwick) after a little too much Tennessee-sippin’ whiskey.  Upon returning from a weekend-long hunting trip in Arkansas, they decided to have a good laugh and placed a few of their live duck decoys in the beautiful and pristine fountain.  Reactions to this unusual sight were nothing short of enthusiastic! Little did they know or intend, something special had been created- a Peabody tradition which was to become internationally famous! In 1940, Bellman Edward Pembroke, a former circus animal trainer, offered his help with delivering the ducks to the fountain each day and taught them the now-famous Peabody Duck March.  Mr. Pembroke became Peabody Duckmaster, serving in that capacity for 50 years until his retirement in 1991.  The Peabody Marching Ducks have appeared on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,” “Sesame Street” when Bert and Ernie celebrated Rubber Ducky Day, “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and in People magazine and Sports Illustrated.  The Peabody ducks are raised by a local farmer and friend of the hotel.  Each team of ducks live at the hotel for only three months before retiring from their duty and returning to the farm, where they are free to live as wild animals once again.  • Beale Street -  National Historic Landmark runs from the Mississippi River through the heart of history and is considered one of the most iconic streets in America.  Take a stroll down the neon row & listen to the music spilling into the streets.  Enjoy dinner while you soak up the sounds and the sights of this Memphis favorite.
