FEATURES: The Brown Hotel - The Hot Brown was born here! Dreamed up in the 1920’s by Chef Fred Schmidt, The Hot Brown is a Louisville culinary tradition. The open faced turkey sandwich with bacon and a delicate Mornay sauce, created to satisfy the early morning cravings of the hotels roaring 20’s dinner dance guests. We will enjoy a wonderful dinner along with a history lesson. • The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum - One of the finest examples of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture in Louisville, constructed by famed local architect Arthur Loomis of Clarke and Loomis. Surrounded by a beautiful courtyard neighborhood at the center of the largest collection of Victorian homes in the United States, Conrad’s Castle featured the latest innovations of its day including indoor plumbing and electric lighting. Known for its beautiful woodwork and parquet floors, this Bedford limestone home, featuring massive archways and intricate stone designs, incorporates seven types of hardwood and magnificent stained glass windows making it one of the most stunning homes in Old Louisville. The house has been lovingly restored to the Edwardian era, hosting a collection of items owned by the Conrads and Caldwells as well as many stunning period pieces. The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum stands as a testament to the abundant lifestyle of the owners, two of Louisville’s most prominent businessmen and entrepreneurs - Theophile Conrad and William E. Caldwell. Step back in time as you learn more about the era and the families who once called this castle, home. • Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs - Access to two floors of interactive permanent and temporary exhibits.  View the "The Greatest Race", a 360 degree 18-minute media experience that will make your heart race and emotions soar.
