HIGHLIGHT CITY: Wall, SD • Deadwood, SD • Keystone, SD • Hill City, SD • Belle Fourche, SD •Spearfish, SD • Lead, SD • Mitchell, SD

FEATURES: Dignity: Of Earth and Sky - The stainless steel, 50-foot-tall statue was specifically designed by sculptor Dale Lamphere to honor the cultures of the Lakota and Dakota people. That’s why he used three Native American models ages 14, 29, and 55 to perfect the face of Dignity. A stunning combination of art and history! • Badlands National Park - This striking landscape boasts a maze of buttes, canyons, pinnacles, and spires.  Skeletons of three-toed horses and saber toothed cats are among the many fossilized species found here.  Travel part of the 244,000 acres on the Badlands Loop Scenic Byway while in search of wildlife. • Wall Drug Store - Founded in 1931, it claims to be the world’s largest drugstore and the first to advertise free glasses of ice water. • Crazy Horse Memorial - The world's largest mountain carving and is considered The Eighth Wonder of the World in progress. Explore the grounds and have a special up-close viewing from the base of the mountain. •  Mount Rushmore National Memorial - America’s Shrine of Democracy, Mount Rushmore National Memorial features the 60-foot faces of four great American presidents who represent the birth, growth, development, and preservation of this country. • Black Hills Central Railroad 1880’s Train - Imagine yourself immersed in the staggering beauty of the Black Hills as we ride from Keystone to Hill City aboard a vintage steam train. • Deadwood Historical Tour - Discover the Gold Rush of 1874 that changed the area forever. Almost, overnight Deadwood grew into one of the area’s largest towns full of miners looking to strike it rich. The legends that surround this small boomtown are known worldwide for being some of the roughest and toughest outlaws around. See first hand, where legendary names like Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane walked and were laid to rest. Travel through the Historic Streets of Deadwood, up to Mt. Moriah Cemetery to visit the historic graves. • The Days of '76 Museum - Celebration began in 1924 as a way to honor Deadwood’s first pioneers - the prospectors, miners, mule skinners, and madams who poured into the Black Hills in 1876 to settle the gold-filled gulches of Dakota Territory.  The museum began, informally, as a repository for the horse-drawn wagons, stagecoaches, carriages, clothing, memorabilia, and archives generated by the celebration. The museum is now a state-of-the-art facility filled with dynamic and thematic exhibitions. • Days of ‘76 Rodeo - For 98 years the rodeo has been a highlight each summer in the Black Hills.  Named the best mid-sized Rodeo in America for the past 17 years.  This PRCA performance features some of the top cowboys and cowgirls in the world. • Devils Tower National Monument - Anchoring the northeast corner of Wyoming is the country’s first national monument. A laccolithic butte that is made up of igneous rocks, Devils Tower is a jaw-dropping geological feature that rises 867 feet above the rolling prairies. While Devils Tower National Monument garnered significant attention as the backdrop in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the tower is sacred to many Northern Plains Indian tribes, as well as the Kiowa Tribe, who made their homes in the Black Hills region. With oral storytelling and a history that dates back thousands of years, today American Indian tribes continue to hold sacred ceremonies at the tower, including sweat lodges and sun dances. • Spearfish Canyon - The breathtaking limestone palisades of this creek carved gorge are more ancient than the Grand Canyon - albeit much closer together. Once accessible only by horseback, Spearfish Canyon’s narrow, 1000-foot walls are among the most spectacular scenery in the Black Hills. • Geographic Center of the Nation Monument - While the actual center of the nation is located on private property, the National Geodetic Survey designated Belle Fourche as the town closest to the actual site and the monument was placed there. • Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center - Lead, has been called the richest 100 square miles on Earth.  Over a period of 126 years, miners pulled more than 41 million ounces of gold and nine million ounces of silver from the Homestake Mine, the largest mine in the western hemisphere.  Explore the exhibit hall, where you’ll find exciting information about Sandford Underground Research Facility, the city of Lead, and the history of Homestake.  View the 1,250-foot-deep open cut and see the many varieties of rock that created this unique landscape. • Minuteman Missile National Historic Site Visitors - Explore the Minuteman II system’s role as a nuclear deterrent during the Cold War.  Learn the story of the Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile System. • Falls Park -  The falls of the Big Sioux River are the center of the 123-acre park.  An average of 7,400 gallons of water drop 100 feet over the course of the Falls each second. • The Corn Palace - See the world’s only Corn Palace come to life as it is redecorated with new corn, grain, and grass.

Highest Elevation: 5800 feet. Please contact your doctor if you are concerned about altitude sickness or heart issues.
