Just ten miles east of downtown and seven miles north of the Nashville International Airport is Music Valley where world-class country music entertainment, family-friendly dining establishments, and bargain shopping can be found. This area is home to the Grand Ole Opry, Opry Mills shopping center, Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, SoundWaves, and some fantastic country-music themed attractions and restaurants.  With its soaring atriums, nearly 20 restaurants and bars, plus shopping and entertainment, Gaylord Opryland isn't just a place to stay--it is an experience unto itself. Located next to the legendary Grand Ole Opry House, this iconic hotel is known for its nine acres of indoor atriums featuring lush plants, winding pathways and waterfalls. There is even a Delta River with flatboat rides inside the hotel. Amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an upscale indoor/outdoor resort water attraction, a full-service spa, and more.  This tour is planned as a great weekend break at Gaylord Opryland Resort.

Daily Itinerary:
Day 1 Arrive Saturday afternoon and start with an overview walking tour of the resort.  You have made your choice of Traditional Rooms.  These rooms are run of the house and we have no idea what section of the resort we will be placed in. Once settled in your room the time becomes yours to enjoy as you please.  Dinner this evening will be at your leisure and at the location of your choice with included meal money.  Make the resort your focus and dine in one of their amazing restaurants, check out some of the favorites at the adjacent Opry Mills Mall, or take the resort transportation into Downtown Nashville and explore some of the iconic treats of 2nd and Broadway.

Day 2 We start with a leisurely morning at the resort prior to our late morning departure.  Our drive is short as we make our way to the Cumberland River to board the General Jackson Showboat. All aboard on one of the largest Showboats ever built  for a lunch cruise.  Enjoy a live performance showcasing the many styles of music that have made Tennessee famous. All good things must come to an end as we arrive home mid evening.
