|It has been years since we offered a multi-generational overnight tour. We are excited to bring this type of tour back for your enjoyment. This two day tour includes 4 meals plus kid friendly snacks ad drinks plus a visit to a Zoo, Science Center, at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. We will even have time for an evening of swimming at the hotel. So, parents, grandparents, aunts, or uncles… this tour is a great get away for you with the youngsters in your life… or a perfect getaway if you are just young at heart. (Kids not required to join this fun-filled tour!) |
FEATURES: Columbus Zoo and Aquarium - As seen on National Geographic’s “Secrets of the Zoo,” the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is home to more than 9,000 animals representing 650 species from around the globe. New to the Zoo is the state-of-the-art sea lion and seal habitat, Adventure Cove. The region comes to life with a unique glass-encased underwater viewing tunnel as well as an amphitheater offering daily shows. As Jungle Jack Hanna’s home zoo, Adventure Cove is also the new site of his Animal Encounters Village. Meet polar bears and arctic foxes, see the cheetahs run about, or hand-feed a giraffe during your trip. You will have atleast five hours to explore the Zoo and this tour will include a lunch voucher for you to enjoy your meal at your leisure. • COSI - Center of Science and Industry - A place to combine Science Learning and Fun with over 300 hands-on exhibits. Make sure to explore the American Museum of Natural History Dinosaur Gallery to get up close to a full-sized cast of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, 100 million-year-old fossilized amber, an 8 foot titanosaur Femur cast and much more. Other exhibits include: A Magical World of Water; Explore the Great Beyond … Space; Gadgets: Crank the biggest gadget of all your Brain!; Progress: Generations of change in the Blink of an Eye; and so much more • National Museum of the United States Air Force - The world’s oldest and largest military aviation museum featuring more than 360 aerospace vehicles and missiles on display amid more that 19 acres of indoor exhibit space. See the Boeing B-17F Memphis Belle in the WWII Gallery. See the Boeing aircraft that served as Air Force One under Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon. See the Apollo 15 Command Module Endeavor that was NASA’S fourth crewed lunar landing mission to the moon in 1971.
