We are so happy to be offering this tour again as our group loved our stay here in 2018. We hope you can join us for our relaxing stay at this newly renovated resort (finished in 2024).
This tour is designed to combine two of Wisconsin’s scenic lakes in a region that focuses on visitors who are there to enjoy the beauty of Delavan Lake and Lake Geneva. We will spend three nights along the shores of Delavan Lake and enjoy a day exploring the town of Lake Geneva along with a Historic Mailboat Cruise on Lake Geneva.
Everything IS BETTER AT THE LAKE!
Along two miles of Delavan Lake’s shoreline, Lake Lawn Resort is the ultimate destination for year-round leisure getaways. Since their doors first opened over 140 years ago, this beautiful resort and historic grounds are the picturesque backdrop for memory making year after year. Staying at Lake Lawn Resort is all about having everything you need at your fingertips beginning the moment you arrive. The resort features luxurious spaces with private balconies or patios along with amenities to make your stay as carefree as possible, including refrigerators, microwaves, in-room coffee makers, and more. The historic Main Lodge and coastal themed Lakewood building have the perfect option for you!

Daily Itinerary:
Day 1 Sunday August 17:  Depart Terre Haute traveling northwest through Illinois and into southern Wisconsin. With lunch and rest stops along the way, we will arrive at Lake Lawn Resort,  our home for three nights. Dinner this evening will be a Wisconsin Fish Fry with all the trimmings (including chicken incase you do not enjoy fish) at our resort. The evening is yours to enjoy the beauty of this property along the shores of Delavan Lake.
Day 2 Monday August 18:  After a full breakfast buffet at the resort, our day is all things Lake Geneva and will include: Geneva Lake Museum - Explore the Archaic and Potawatomi Indian artifacts, 19th century brick Main Street featuring historical residences, businesses, stage coach, sleigh, nautical vessels, exhibits on historic lakeshore estates, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Geneva Hotel artifacts and photographs, and Sydney Smith/Andy Gump exhibit. • Lake Geneva US Mailboat Cruise - Enjoy the famous Mailboat Tour.  There are only a hand full of places left in the country where mail is still delivered by boat.  An adventurous Mailperson leaps off the boat onto residents’ piers, deposits mail and grabs outgoing mail, and jumps back aboard. The only catch is, the boat never stops! • Shopping in Lake Geneva - The original downtown with historic buildings housing great shops and restaurants. After time to relax at the hotel, dinner this evening will be at The Duck Inn, a true Wisconsin Supper Club.

Day 3 Tuesday August 19:  After a full breakfast buffet at the resort, our day is centered around the resort.  We will have an off property excursion that is optional (detailed in your final itinerary) or you may enjoy the morning and early afternoon at your leisure.  Mid afternoon we will all gather to enjoy a Lake Lawn Queen Cruise.  As we hop aboard the 76’ Lake Lawn Queen tour boat and learn about the rich history of the lake and its famous shoreline residents.  Upon our return, we will spend the evening with a Wisconsin cookout on the patio, complete with brats, burgers, and all the trimmings.

Day 4 Wednesday August 20:  After a full breakfast buffet at the resort, it time for bags to be loaded on the motorcoach and start our journey home but not before we stop at two of our Wisconsin favorites.  O & H Danish Bakery is home to the  kringle. A sweet, flaky pastry with a variety of fillings and toppings that originated in Denmark and a local favorite due to immigration into this region.  Next, we visit Mars Cheese Castle - Founded in 1947, Mars Cheese Castle has been an icon in Wisconsin for six decades. With a grand facade reminiscent of a European castle, complete with armor and thrones, Mars Cheese Castle offers over 700 varieties of cheese, from aged cheddars to artisanal creations.
