Sold out in 2019 and we are offering it again with a different twist. This tour is limited to the first 34 people and is designed to enjoy the sights and tastes of rural Illinois.  Places we have heard about but never taken the time to visit. So, join us on this one day tour that is sure to leave you full and happy!

HIGHLIGHT CITY: Hutsonville, IL • Palestine, IL •  Moonshine, IL • Casey, IL

FEATURES:  Wabash Coffee House - “Winner of the WTHI Fork in the Road - Best Pancakes in the Wabash Valley” for their praline pecan pancakes.  Also, known for plate-sized cinnamon rolls. We will have a sample of both along with their flavored coffees. • Mullen’s Salad Dressing - In the early 1900’s, fourteen year old John D. Mullen left Illinois to seek his fortune in the west.  Realizing he needed a trade, he apprenticed under an Italian chef in Sioux City, Iowa earning $1.50 a week. In World War I he served as a cook in Europe and fell in love with French dressing.  In 1926, he created a formula that he felt was beyond improvement and its perfection has not been changed since.  Tour the small factory and have a chance to buy salad dressing and other sauces. • Moonshine Store - A little gem smack dab in the middle of nowhere but is quite the experience. An authentic one room general store selling sandwiches from the grill along with a few sides and bottled drinks.  Half the experience is standing in line and eating at the outdoor uncovered picnic tables … hanging out with the locals and visitors from all over the world.  You will order a sandwich and sides of your choice with included meal money. • SD Meadows Folk Art Gallery - Browse through the gallery filled with whimsical creations, carvings, sculptures, and custom-made pieces. • Big Things ... Small Town - Learn how and why they set out to make all of these “World’s Largest” items which are now listed in the Guinness World Book of Records.

Join Julie Henricks of Good Day Live and Annette Trotter of Turner as we visit the Iconic Moonshine Store and learn all about the Big Things in a Small Town. A fun day out exploring our neighboring communities, meeting new people, and enjoy a wonderful lunch.
